Helix House Salon offers four Signature services: The Helix (all-inclusive curl cut), The Haven (customizable curl maintenance), The Hydra (professional steam hydration treatment), and The Hue (color transformation). We also offer color services including highlights and root touchups, extensions, and bridal styling.

Do you only service curly hair?

Curly, wavy, coily, and kinky hair is our specialty but we service straight hair as well. We use the terms curly, texture, and textured hair interchangeably.

How long does a curly hair service take?

Maintenance services for curly hair usually take on average about 1 to 1.5 hours. Color and extension services range from approximately 2 to 5 hours depending on density and texture. Color transformations may take longer.

How should I arrive for my appointment?

For a curl cut, please arrive detangled — we will shampoo your hair prior to the cut. For color services, arrive with hair free of product and detangled. For a consultation, have all extensions or braids removed and hair free of heavy products.

Does Helix House Salon offer bridal and wedding hair services?

Yes, Helix House Salon offers bridal and wedding hair styling both in salon and on location at your venue. On-site wedding services range from $750 to $2,500 depending on the time reserved. A consultation is required to book wedding services. We recommend reserving 45 to 60 days in advance.

Does Helix House Salon sell hair products?

Yes, Helix House Salon has a proprietary line of curly hair products available for purchase in salon and online at helixhousesalon.com/shop. Products include the Twistout Foam, Polished Edges, Moisture and Repair lines, and clip-in extensions.

We provide treatments before during and after your color services to ensure your curls are maintained and managed along the process. We will recommend products and care for at home maintenance along with suggested salon frequency. If you follow our expert advice your curls will be fine! Please understand color is a chemical however so some level of damage in inevitable. Our curly color ladies are generally satisfied with their outcomes. How long does the service take?

All service times are added and visible during your online booking experience. As you customize your appointment you will see the times for each add on and see the time accrue.

Color and extensions services range from approximately 2- upwards of 5 hours. The more dense and textured your hair is will lean more towards the longer times. Color transformations may take longer. You can always send an email for a more specific time frame.
